Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our team. The Administrative Officer will play a key role in providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of basketball in Rockhampton while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide general administrative support to the management team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing correspondence.

- Assist with the coordination of basketball programs, events, and competitions, including registration processes, participant communication, and logistics.

- Maintain accurate records and databases, including membership databases, financial records, and inventory management systems.

- Manage incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and provide timely and helpful responses to stakeholders.

- Assist with the development and implementation of administrative policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Collaborate with other staff members to support various projects and initiatives as needed.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to child safety and data protection.

 

Requirements:

- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a sports or community organization.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

- Knowledge of basketball or sports administration is desirable but not essential.
