Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and organized Competitions Officer to join our team. The Competitions Officer will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of basketball competitions and events within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of basketball in Rockhampton.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the scheduling of basketball competitions, including fixtures, venues, and referees.

- Manage team registrations, player eligibility, and competition logistics.

- Act as the primary point of contact for teams, players, and officials regarding competition inquiries and issues.

- Oversee the development and implementation of competition rules, policies, and procedures.

- Work closely with the administration team to ensure accurate record-keeping, including results, standings, and statistics.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote competitions, attract participants, and enhance the overall basketball experience.

- Assist in the organization of special events, tournaments, and community engagement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

- A genuine passion for basketball and a commitment to promoting the sport.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

- Demonstrated experience in sports administration, event management, or a related field is desirable.

- Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations is an advantage.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
