The CQ University Rockhampton Cyclones are proud to announce the return of dynamic point guard Lauren Heard for the 2024 Mitsubishi NBL1 season. Heard was an integral part of the Cyclones roster last season averaging 17 points, 7 assists and 6.5 rebounds and 3 steals per game and the club is extremely excited to be able to have Lauren return for the 2024 season.
Lauren said on resigning with Rockhampton, “I’m extremely excited to be returning back to RockVegas for the 2024 season. I’m looking forward to the new heights, new expectations and finishing the good thing we started last year! Definitely can’t wait to reunite to one of the best team dynamics I’ve been apart of.”
Coach Drew Fenton said, “We are thrilled to have Lo return for 2024! Lo’s impact on the team and community was immense. She can do it all on the court and possesses a pass first mentality and because of this her teammates love playing with her. Lo can impact any game from both ends of the floor, with her relentless heat on the rim offensively or defending the ball 94 feet, she is a rare breed in hoops circles these days. When coach and point guard can have a good relationship, it makes the things a lot easier. Lo definitely made my job easier last season and looking forward to continuing the partnership in 2024."
