The Schwarz Excavations Rockhampton Rockets have continued to add to their roster for the Coles Express 2023 NBL1 North season by re-signing talented local Mitchell Kuhl.
After finishing his junior career strongly with a solid 18 State Championships performance in 2022, Kuhl got his first real taste at the next level with a State Team Selection representing Queensland North. After now having a couple of solid years in the NBL1 program under his belt, the Rockets are excited for what he can continue to build on in 2023.
Coach Tweedy said, “We are really excited to have Mitch back on board again this year. He continues to grow and add length and the way we are trying to play this year will really suit him. Mitch is a good athlete out in transition and his length will help us defensively. He already knows how to block a shot and play above the rim.”
Mitchell said on signing,” I’m happy to be back for my third year with the team. I know this year I can make more of an impact off the bench and contribute to our wins.”
The Rockets season opens against the Mackay Meteors in Mackay on March 24.
