The Schwarz Excavations Rockhampton Rockets continue to build their roster with another talented local for the Coles Express 2023 NBL1 North season with Baylin Janes returning after a year away from the program.
After a strong showing in the QSL last year with Gladstone, Baylin is ready to bring back the experience and confidence he gained to the Rockets squad. The big man can bring some physicality to the squad, and we are expecting a strong performance!
Coach Tweedy said, “We are glad to have Baylin back for the 2023 season. Baylin can really compete with the big guys in the league and bring that physicality that we need. He has definitely brought back some confidence from his season in the QSL, and we are excited to see how he goes defensively. We will need him to really understand the role he can play in this group, and this will lead to him being able to contribute more on the floor this season.”
Baylin said on signing, “I’m excited to be back and involved in the 2023 season with the Rockets. I’m looking forward to developing my game, alongside some of our new imports and signings. I cannot wait to play in front of our awesome home crowd.”
The Rockets season opens against the Mackay Meteors in Mackay on March 24.
