Rockhampton Basketball are pleased to announce that Neal Tweedy has been appointed and return as the Schwarz Excavations Rockhampton Rockets Head coach for the 2022 NBL 1 North season.
General Manager, Wade Rebetzke said “After conducting player and coach reviews at the conclusion of the last season it was evident that Neal was still the man for the job to head the Rockets for the 2022 season. Although the organisation was extremely disappointed with the results last season, we believe we will be back bigger and better in 2022 and the team have the goal of being in the playoff picture come finals time next season.” Neal has been around this league for a long time now and knows what is required to get the job done. We have challenged Neal to bring home finals back to Rockhampton and that starts in the off season and the organisation is committed to putting together a nice roster for the season ahead.
Neal was also extremely happy to be returning in 2022 and said, “We’ve been a very successful club for a long time…and we think we can compete every year. We are going to move on from last season and be ready to go from day one. I am excited to be back again with the program and looking forward to getting to work with the team.”
The Coles Express NBL1 North 2022 season will start in May 2022.
